What is Another Voice?
Another Voice is an AAC communication board app that helps children tap words, build sentences, and speak them aloud from customizable boards.
Is Another Voice an AAC app?
Yes. Another Voice is an AAC-style app built around visual communication boards, symbols, photos, voices, and sentence-building.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes. The app can be tried free for 24 hours without creating an account.
Can AAC stop speech development?
Research reviews and ASHA guidance support introducing AAC without delaying it out of fear that it will prevent speech. AAC apps are communication support tools that can be used alongside speech development goals.
Who is it for?
It is designed for children who benefit from visual communication boards, with families as the primary audience and trusted caregivers or therapists as collaborators.
Devices and offline use
Boards can keep working away from perfect internet.
Does Another Voice work offline?
Yes, after boards, board images, and voices are downloaded to the device. Offline mode opens boards already downloaded to that device. New downloads, sharing, purchases, symbol search, uploads, and account actions need a connection.
Does it support iOS and Android?
Yes. Another Voice is built for iOS and Android phones and tablets. Compatibility mode works with device-managed Eye Tracking or Switch Control on supported iPhone and iPad devices, and Switch Access on Android. The operating system—not Another Voice—provides gaze tracking, calibration, dwell, and switch scanning. Android eye tracking is not included.
Will edits sync while offline?
Downloaded boards, cached images, and downloaded voices can work offline. History, heatmap, and board-edit changes can be stored locally and backed up when the signed-in account is online again.

Can I edit boards?
Yes. Board editing supports tile editing, inserting, moving, copying, hiding, sticky tiles, blanking, deleting, multi-select, undo and redo, saving, and discarding changes.
Can I customize boards with photos and symbols?
Yes. Tile editing supports symbols, gallery photos, camera photos, colors, labels, spoken text, rules, and optional background removal with separately purchased credits.
Can boards have more than one grid?
Yes. Boards can include grids, grid links, and overlay grids.
What are history and heatmaps used for?
History and heatmaps help adults review spoken sentences and tile usage patterns so boards can be adjusted thoughtfully over time.
Voices and languages

What voices are included?
Voice options are tied to the child's selected board languages. Downloadable offline voices are currently available for English (US) and English (UK).
What languages are supported?
Another Voice currently supports English and Swedish app copy. Board language settings include English US, English UK, and Swedish Sweden. Boards can include a main language and additional languages.
Sharing and child login
Access without password sharing.
Does my child need an email address or password?
No. A licensed adult account can generate a child login code or QR code for board-focused use on the child's device.
Can therapists or caregivers use it?
Yes. A child sharing code or QR scan can connect trusted caregivers or therapists to boards and history without sharing the parent's password.
Can a child accidentally edit settings?
Child login mode is intended for board use, while board management remains part of the adult account workflow.
Pricing

Is it a subscription?
After the free trial, Another Voice uses a one-time lifetime license model rather than a subscription-first model.
How does the lifetime license work?
The current license includes three children. Additional child profiles and background-removal credits can be purchased separately.

Are prices final?
Final regional pricing is shown by the App Store or Google Play before purchase.
Privacy and data

Can I delete my account?
The app includes an account deletion flow that clears local data and sends a delete-account request to the server.
Where are the policies?
The app links to the privacy policy and terms of service at avoice.cloud.
How is child data handled?
Child profiles, boards, photos, symbols, history, and usage data are handled according to the privacy policy linked from the app and this website.
